So, yeah, who gets laryngitis anymore? Apparently.....I do! Does this mean I talk too much or what? Yeah, you can keep your response to that question to yourself. Thanks. I had a sore throat a few days ago, and while I feel much better, I was left with no voice. This stinks. It is so frustrating not being able to talk! I feel like I'm playing charades with my coworkers instead of actually communicating!
I went to the doctor this morning and he strongly recommended that I refrain from attempting to talk AT ALL for all of today and preferably tomorrow too. Do you know how hard that will be?!?!? I have to carry around a silly notepad everywhere and text, IM and e-mail instead of use the phone. Grrrr...so frustrating! Hopefully my voice will be back by Friday when I fly to NYC for the fam reunion. Can't wait! And I get to see Gabi too. Yay!
By the way...."laryngitis"...impossible to spell....except for just now. I totally had to google that. I started with laringytus...and then gave up. Hehe.

I have laryngitis right now! I am enjoying squeaking, rasping, croaking, or the sound de jour that comes out when I try to speak. I love having laryngitis! This is not the first time I've had laryngitis, so I know what to expect. I never know how long it will last, though. Last time it was only a few days. This time I sound much worse, so I think it will last at least a week (I hope). I think it is even more acute and severe this time. Rather than whispering and resting my voice, I just try to talk anyway. I talked so much today, that I can't speak above a whisper now. We'll see how long this bout of severe acute laryngitis lasts. When I get laryngitis, I get really excited. I love losing my voice!
I have laryngitis right now...it sucks, I have had it for 9 days now. I also have an upper respiratory infection, so I am guessing that when that goes, my voice will come back. I can only whisper. I am in a sales job and needless to say, this is doing NOTHING for my sales numbers. Does anyone know how long this could last???
